Facebook Event Engagement

Facebook Event engagement supports interested or going signals for events such as openings, workshops, livestreams, communities, or campaigns.

Three weeks before your café opening you created an event on the Page, invited friends and posted a teaser. Today the event reads "9 going, 21 interested". Invitees look at those numbers, assume the opening will be quiet and hold back. The same thing happens with workshops, seminars and ticketed gigs: the fewer people who respond, the fewer newcomers are willing to.

This service raises the two numbers right under the event title: Going and Interested. There are nine servers, split by which button they press and where the accounts come from: Asia, Australia, Canada and Egypt.

The two buttons and what Facebook does with them

When an account taps Going or Interested, the matching counter rises and the name joins the guest list. Facebook uses both signals to suggest the event to that person's friends and to people near the venue, in the Events tab and in feed. Going is the stronger signal, because responders get reminders before the start. Interested is lighter and good for reach.

To be clear: accounts from this service will not show up in person. The service makes the event look like it has pull, so real people nearby decide more easily. It doesn't replace actual attendees, and Facebook may remove responses from accounts it later disables.

Nine servers, different regions and speeds

CanadaGoing or Interested (2 servers)50 – 10,000100–500/day
EgyptGoing or Interested (2 servers)50 – 10,000100–500/day

None of the nine has a warranty or supports cancellation once placed. Pricing is per response and appears when you pick a server; country-targeted servers cost noticeably more than the Asian ones because those accounts are harder to source.

The two Asian servers are the main choice for events in Vietnam and the region: the fastest at about 3,000 a day starting within two hours, with a 20,000 cap. Their catch is a 1,000 minimum, which looks wildly out of scale on a 50-seat event. Whichever group you choose, check the status label that comes with the server name when ordering; if it shows errors, switch to the same button in another region or order a little later, as long as there is still time before the event.

For small events or odd numbers like 150 or 300, use the no-region Going server with its minimum of 50. Australia and Canada suit events aimed at overseas communities or English-language seminars, since the guest list will show local-looking names. These servers deliver only 100–500 a day, so 3,000 responses need about a week.

Setting up an event order

Paste the event link, which looks like facebook.com/events/ followed by numbers. Open the event, tap Share and copy the link, or copy the desktop address bar. Don't use a post sharing the event or the organiser's Page link.

The event must be Public. Private events are visible only to invitees and group events only to members, so outside accounts can't respond. It must also be upcoming: once the end time passes, Facebook locks both buttons and delivery stops. Pick the server whose name matches the button you want, enter a quantity in range, and watch the Going or Interested count on the event.

Event-specific cautions

  • Order early. At 100–500 a day, 5,000 responses two days before the event won't finish, and whatever is undelivered when the event ends is not refunded.
  • The link can't be changed. Deleting and recreating the event gives it a new link and needs a new order.
  • Switching the event from Public to Private mid-order stops it.
  • No warranty: responses Facebook removes are not refilled.
  • The 100–500 per day servers may run slower than listed, so test small to see the pace.

Building a launch around it

Events usually come with an announcement post. Reactions and shares on that post carry it further, and if the event runs as a livestream, you can add live viewers while the stream is on.

Frequently asked questions

Will people who tap Going actually attend?

No. They lengthen the counter and guest list. The service helps first impressions; real turnout depends on your content and promotion.

My event has about 100 seats. Which server fits?

Use the Going server with a 50 minimum and order a few hundred. The Asian servers start at 1,000, which would look far out of proportion.

Can I order for an event created inside a group?

Usually not, because group events are only visible to members. Create the event from your Page and set it to Public.

Should I order both Going and Interested?

You can, as two orders on two servers. Real events tend to have several times more Interested than Going, so keep that ratio.
